Wifi Connection - Week beginning 21st July
Something is disrupting the wifi access at the club. The most likely possibility is that one or more of the computers in the club have been infected by some sort of wireless Trojan. The Trojan disguises itself to make it difficult to detect.
We have tried switching wifi users off one by one but it has proved inconclusive.
We will have to remove all wifi access then bring it back under controlled conditions, over a period of days or weeks.
We will provide wired internet access for a few users at a time. Probably a maximum of about 12 connections available.
No laptops will have wifi access. During the course of the morning session we may enable wifi access on some of the club machines.
Summer Recess
Summer is now here and there are no more Thursday talks until September. The Tuesday Special Interest Groups will continue throughout the summer and every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be a Club day in July and August. Please see the Club programme for details.
Club developing a Wiki Website
The Club is in the process of creating a Wiki-based website. The advantages of a Wiki are that a) Many different people can contribute directly without messing up the format of the site b)
It is easy to edit and add pages c) It can be the single location of all club information (eventually the weblog, other blog content, message board and main website will be all in one place) d) It will become a Club archive. At present the wiki site is undergoing development. It looks a lot like the website you are looking at now, with menus and submenus pointing to different pages. In time we will be introducing new features. Please go and take a look at:

Eurocartridge
This company sells blank CDs, DVDs, Ink cartridges and small accessories at Pedreguer Rastro.
They do not have a shop but visit the Club every 2 weeks.

Where we are
The Club meets (when it is not flooded!) at: Edificio Arenal 80, Bloque
1 (Sotano), Avenida Tamarits, Javea, three times a week from 9:45am until
around 12:30, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
